Nutrini Peptisorb Energy 500ml OpTri Bottle - 12 Pack is a  ready-to-use, semi-elemental, high energy, nutritionally complete, enteral tube feed for children 1-10 years.

Features:

• High energy (1.5kcal/ml) suitable for children with high energy and/or low fluid needs.
• Mixture of short chain peptides and amino acids from hydrolysed whey protein for optimal protein absorption from the gut and minimal bowel residue¹.
• 100% hydrolysed whey protein for improved gastrointestinal tolerance².
• 51% of fat content from medium chain triglycerides (MCT) to enhance fat digestion and absorption inpatients with malabsorption^3,4.
• Supplemented with docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) from fish oil.
• Higher proportion of fat, lower protein and iron content compared to adult formulations to cater for the needs of young children.
• Contains a small amount of prebiotic fibre to support bowel health (<2.5g per pack).

Indications:

For the dietary management of:

• Disease related malnutrition in combination with severe malabsorption and/or maldigestion in children from 1 year of age (or 8-45 kg).

Important Notice:

• Not suitable for patients with Galactosaemia.
• Not suitable for infants under 1 year of age.
• Not for parenteral use.
• Not suitable for patients requiring a fibre free diet.
• Must be used under medical supervision.
• Suitable as a sole source of nutrition for children 1 year onwards.
• Use with caution in individuals with seafood allergy.

Direction of Use:

• Use at room temperature.
• Check appearance before use and shake well.
• Handle aseptically to ensure product remains sterile.
• Usage to be determined by a healthcare professional.
• Aseptically handled bottle has a hanging time of maximum 24 hours once opened.
• Do not dilute or add medications to the formula.

Storage:

• Store in a cool, dry place.
• Once opened, close the bottle and store in the refrigerator.
• Discard unused content after 24 hours.
