Medihoney Wound Gel

Medihoney Wound Gel is a unique line of dressings containing Active Leptospermum Honey from New Zealand, has been shown to possess unique qualities that make them ideal for the management of chronic and acute wounds and burns.

Medihoney Wound Gel provides a moist environment conducive to wound healing and is indicated for non-draining to moderately exuding wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers; leg ulcers (venous stasis ulcers, arterial ulcers, and leg ulcers of mixed etiology); pressure ulcers/sores (partial and full thickness); 1st and 2nd degree partial thickness burns; donor sites; and traumatic and surgical wounds. This formulation is more viscous and features increased stability at the wound site, and it is optimal for superficial to full thickness wounds. Medihoney Wound Gel cleanses and debrides due to its high osmolarity and also helps to lower the wound pH thus creating an optimal wound healing environment. Medihoney is a medical-grade honey derived from the pollen and nectar of the Leptospermum species of plant in New Zealand and Australia.
