Water Bottle 1 Litre - The Hydrant

The Hydrant is designed to assist persons who are unable to drink without help. Many vulnerable people are simply unable to reach, lift, or hold drinks and so need help to stay hydrated – but the help is not always available when needed.

The Hydrant drinking system is designed to make independent drinking easy for vulnerable people and is invaluable in helping to prevent the dehydration that often leads to very serious health problems and hospitalisation.

The Hydrant Water Bottle Kit has a unique flexi-grip handle that can be hung from the bed, chair, or wheelchair. The user has easy 24/7 access to water by simply grasping the tube, inserting the bite valve between their lips, biting down on it, and sucking. The bite valve opens under pressure and closes when released, ensuring no leakage. If The Hydrant is hung above head height, the tube works as a siphon, helping those with limited sucking ability, as fluid gently flows when the valve is activated.

The reinforced neoprene Tube Director gives complete control over the positioning of your Hydrant drinking tube, allowing a total and convenient hands-free drinking at any time, especially for patients who have had a stroke or suffer MND.

Warning: The bite valve of The Hydrant, when it is new, sometimes naturally sticks together from the manufacturer and should be "peeled apart" if needed (never use knives or any puncture tools).
