DuoDERM Extra Thin Dressings are designed for dry to lightly exudating wounds, offering a moist healing environment that promotes faster recovery. Ideal for areas subject to friction or requiring contouring, such as elbows and heels, these hydrocolloid dressings form a protective gel with wound moisture, helping prevent scab formation and supporting new tissue growth.

DuoDerm Extra Thin dressing is a hydrocolloid that uses Convatec’s unique hydrocolloid formulation which consists of a cross-linked honeycomb matrix made from a proprietary mix of Sodium carboxymethylcellulose, gelatin, pectin and adhesive polymers.

DuoDerm dressings protect the wound, support debridement, are simple to use, and offer continuous care throughout all the healing phases. DuoDerm Extra Thin dressing is easy to mould and can be cut to shape to allow easy treatment of awkward areas

DuoDERM Extra Thin Dressings combine secure adhesion, moisture-reactive technology, and a subtle design to provide effective, reliable wound care while supporting uninterrupted daily life.

Indications:

• Management of superficial, dry to lightly exuding dermal ulcers;
• Post-operative wounds;
• Protective dressings

Application:

• Use Wound Hygiene principles to cleanse the wound and periwound skin with an appropriate cleanser and dry the surrounding skin. If required apply ESENTA Sting Free Skin Barrier Spray or Wipe to protect at risk periwound skin. Select a dressing that extends at least 3cm beyond
  the wound. After removing the silicone backing paper, gently roll the dressing over the wound, and mould into place.
• DuoDerm Extra Thin dressing may be used as a primary dressing or as a secondary dressing, in combination with other appropriate dressings such as, but not limited to, Aquacel Extra, DuoDerm Hydroactive Gel or Kaltostat dressing.
• To remove the dressing, press down gently on the skin and carefully lift one corner of the dressing. If required apply ESENTA Sting Free Adhesive Remover Spray or Wipe if at risk of MARSI. Continue until all edges are free. Carefully lift away the dressing and discard according to local clinical protocols.
