Silver sulfadiazine is a well-known antimicrobial agent inhibiting the growth in vitro of nearly all pathogenic bacteria and fungi. The presence of silver sulfadiazine in the product composition plays a role in preventing microbial contamination, thus improving the ability of hyaluronic acid to support wound healing.
