Iodosorb Cadexomer Iodine Ointment

Iodosorb Cadexomer Iodine Ointment is a sterile cadexomer iodine formulation. When applied directly to the wound, it absorbs fluids, removes exudate, debris and pus forming gel over wound surface at the same time.

When applied to the wound, Iodosorb Cadexomer Iodine Ointment absorbs fluids, removing exudate, pus and debris. As they swell, iodine is slowly released killing micro-organisms and forming a protective gel over the wound surface. Unlike povidone iodine dressings which deposit their iodine immediately upon application. Iodosorb Cadexomer Iodine Ointment sustained release of iodine does not cause cytotoxic effects.
