Exufiber Dressing
Exufiber Dressing is a gelling fibre dressing intended to be used on a wide range of wounds with moderate to high amounts of wound fluid such as leg and foot ulcers, pressure injuries, partial-thickness burns, surgical wounds or donor sites.
Use on a wide range of wounds for management of moderate to high amounts of wound fluid. Exufiber forms a gel when in contact with wound fluid and is intended to be used on the following wounds with moderate to high amounts of fluid.
Exufiber is a sterile, non-woven gelling fiber wound dressing made by Mölnlycke Health Care. It turns into a soft gel when it touches wound fluid. It absorbs heavy drainage, locks fluid inside, and comes off in one clean piece without leaving fibers behind.
Features:
- High absorption: Pulls in and holds liquid well, even under pressure.
- Moist healing: Creates a wet space that helps the body clean dead tissue from the wound.
- Easy removal: Lifts out in one piece to reduce pain and protect new skin.
- Long wear time: Can stay on the wound for up to 7 days depending on fluid levels.
Common Uses:
- Pressure injuries and leg ulcers
- Surgical incisions and donor sites
- Partial-thickness burns
- Deep cavity or tunneling wounds (using the ribbon/rope style)
